Spring Roses

Hello!
The other day I remembered I love florals. I mean, I love florals on nails. And of course on clothes, but that's another story (rather another obsession :D). My colour choice was inspired by this photo I saw over at The Illustrated Nail's Instagram - I couldn't resist using that floral combo.

Sun is back! Or at least here it is :). So today I'm posting a fresh spring-ish mani I did a while ago and almost forgot to post.
It was inspired by vector flourish pictures and nature. I originally wanted to add there some flowers too, but I liked it as simple as it was just with the green swirls.

Tropical Floral & Blog Anniversary

It's been a year since I wrote my first post here.
Wait... what?!
I know, I can't believe it either.
Things changed, but they didn't change as much as I expected. You know, my nail art is better, I have fancier tools, my nail polish collection is twice as large (still under 100, though) and I even got to cooperate with some companies. I'm pretty excited about the number of my followers, it's almost 10k on the Instagram, that was the dream in July 2013, thank you guys <3.
I actually have a life this summer holiday (unlike last year), so I don't menage to post as often as I would like to. Speaking of writing posts, for those of you who feel like I did a year ago: when I was to write my first post in English, it took ages, I had to think through every sentence, it took about ten posts to get relatively fluent. I can tell writing in English is quite natural for me now, I even improved my spelling thanks to spell check :D. I'm not saying it's flawless, though, I'm sure it's not, especially when it comes to tenses...
We're all reading this for the nail art, right? Well... (I'm so not original this time)

Moravian Ceramics Inspired

With Easter around the corner I wanted to do something Czech related, I was considering traditional Easter eggs, but then I remembered this print, typical for south-east Moravia - my region, I was looking at so many times at my grandma's and wondering, how to replicate it on my nails. Well, I tried!

Safari Sunset (+tutorial)

Heey!
I found new source of inspiration - phone cases. So I browsed Etsy and when I saw this one I knew. I recreated the pattern, excited. It turned out later that the pattern (called Safari Sunset) is originally by a luggage design company Vera Bradley. So now I can show you nails that match not only a phone case but a lot of other accessories, mainly bags.

Why the gel pen you ask? Oh, yes! I used this gel pen for the white details, it's super easy to work with, especially if you want to do swirls.

Aaand here comes the inspiration. I edited the phone case in the photo, I admit. I couldn't help it really, I wanted to have a picture with my nails + the inspiration, although I don't own it (I don't even own an iPhone to use it with, you see.)

Imperiale Roses (+tutorial)

Hey! I have a tutorial for you! It's a computer one, not photos, cause I had terrible light painting this design and I didn't capture everything anyway.

This is the polish that inspired me in the first place. Gabriella Salvete STARS 14 Blu Imperiale. Textured two coater with shimmer, and you must love the colour!

Floral Porcelain

Typing this, I'm wearing floral nail art, which reminds me of porcelain, probably because of the light pink background colour, which was too sheer, so I layered it over white base.

The roses were done with acrylics, that I bought last week after a lot of hesitating. I felt like anything that is not nail polish would act weird on nails, but it doesn't. The colour set (12 x 12ml) was so cheap (around 6€) and the paint is so easy to work with.
