I had the idea of painting a landscape on my mind for a while... You see, I LOVE painting landscapes on regular canvas, but I couldn't imagine wearing a landscape painting on my nails. Well, the time came and I gave it a go.

I didn't really like the outcome on my left hand, so I left the right unfinished, no hills, just sky.

I wish I could say I liked painting this and that I will do more and more landscapes in the future, but, sadly, I can't. It might be just about the practise, though.
I didn't enjoy wearing it either, it felt funny.

I sure will give landscapes another try in the future, in few months maybe, for now I'll keep my landscape passion for bigger canvas.
In the photo above you can see one of the acrylics I used over Rimmel 367 Bare Necessities nude base; I used two shades of brown and white.
You can see the brushes I used below, first I used the left one for my left hand and the hills, then I found out the technique I used was damaging it a bit, so I switched to the right brush and finished my right hand.

What do you think? How do you feel about wearing landscapes on your nails? Should I attempt more?
Take care!

  1. Margee, I'd definitely keep trying on landscape techniques! Since you're an artist not just for your nails but for other media also, I know you'll eventually feel able to execute a look that you love. Personally I think you did a great job on this mani!
