More To Explore

Hi!
Today I'll be showing you a design I wore on my birthday (which was in April, yes, I'm late with this :D). I chose my new favourite polish colour: China Glaze More To Explore. I'm not a fan of the formula, really, it's uneasy to work with. But the colour! Oh, I love it.

Road Trip Nail Art & China Glaze Swatches

Hey there!
Today is a first. First swatch post! I didn't want to do a post with swatches only, so I took some inspiration and created new nail design for this collection I was swatching.
It was China Glaze Road Trip, which has been around for few months already, but for some reason it came to local (=Czech) distributors just about now. I got 6 shades of total 12 of the collection.
My road trip nail art was inspired by a top I bought on my last trip. I wanted to go detailed and really stick with the fabric pattern but I failed there and went with whatever-comes-to-my-mind tribal.

Sugar & Cream

Hey!
Todays design was inspired by something I was seeing around this winter, simple sweather-ish pattern. The base is Cuccio polish Sugar & Cream, a colour I would probably never buy myself, but I got the chance to try it for a review. It didn't really go well with my skin tone I think, but I surprisingly like it now, looking at the pictures.

Melting Stripes (+tutorial)

Hello!
I have a tutorial for you today! I haven't done any in a long time so I was definitely up for doing this one when I was asked for it on the Instagram after a posted a picture of this design. The design was partly inspired by Try My Hand, talented nail blogger who stopped posting about a year ago.
Besides the tutorial I'll be doing a short review of the Nubar #loveit polish you can see below, Polycolor acrylic paint and Platinum nail art brush.

Tutorial and my tools after the jump.

Limited Stripes

Hello!
I had no idea what to call this design. I did it a while ago for a mani swap with talented Swiftpolish (picture of the swap at the end of this post) and I got a lot of positive reactions - and I also liked it very much myself.

Metallic

Hi!
I'm so behind with posting! I'm ashamed, but I'll be busy travelling during next few weeks so it probably won't get better any time soon. If you want to follow my most recent designs, be sure to check my Instagram ;) Let's have a look at todays design:

I wanted to use black and white acrylic paint and I also wanted to try this silver The New Black polish. I ended up with quite out-of-my-comfort-zone design.

Op Art! (+tutorial)

Hello,
today I'm showing you a mani I did back in June, I had it on my mind for a while and when I finally got to do it I knew it would be a perfect one for a tutorial. My Arts teacher in school paid a lot of attention to modern art history and he got me interested in it as well.
Well, have a look!

Stripes And Rounds (+tutorial)

Hello!
I admit I wasn't very creative coming up with the title. I wore these nails for around ten days, I made them for my Belgium trip, that's also the reason the base is nude - the chips don't show that much.

The design was inspired by the pinky from  this mani over at Boom Nails, I loved it the moment I saw it and saved it for later.

Back In Black

Hi, the mani I have for you today is few weeks old, it's nothing complicated, I actually just wanted to try some of my The New Black polishes.

Red Waterfall

And again, I needed a mani to match my dress. Red dress, this time. But (as you might have noticed) you can't see red designs here much and there is a reason: I don't know how to wear red nail art. Sure, I can go with roses, but this time I wanted something different. Well, it didn't end up very original, but at least classy, right?

I used two coats of NYC Base Coat, acrylic paint (red and white) and NYC Turbo Dry top coat. So yes, it is my naked nail under the red waterfall.

Tropical Tribal (+tutorial)

Hi! I'm in a rush right now, so I'll make this quick. Today's mani was inspired by Coewlesspolish's design from June 2013. My work in nowhere as neat as hers, but hopefully I'll get there one day.
plus these nails looked way neater in person, I swear :D

Oh yes, I chose pretty bright colours; I got bored of winter being dark and dull.

Tuto and more after the jump!

Wrapped in Christmas

I couldn't decide what to call this mani. Christmas Sweater? Christmas Tribal? And the third and final option: Christmas Wrapping Paper.

I'm planning to post a tutorial next, I'm splitting this in two posts so they are not so long and picture heavy, you see.

Matching Waterfall

I wanted to outline my nails the other day so I looked for a design that would look good outlined. I ended up with waterfall mani, as The Nailasaurus calls it.

Originally I wanted to outline all nails but I liked the way they looked without outline too much.
(My photos get sometimes greyish for no reason, blogger makes them go wrong, especialy white parts. Do you know how to fix this?)

Matching Stripes

Ahoj!
I have another matching-an-outfit nails for you, not as much matching as last time, because when I wore those with the outfit, I kinda hated how much it matched, if you know what I mean.

At the beginning, I had three basic colours I knew I wanted to use: red, white and black, but I couldn't think of a design that would use them, would be nice to look at and matched the outfit at the same time. Way out? Stripes, of course.

NOTD - Raspberry Burberry

Hi! This time a recreated a manicure I did in May. Back then I did regular burberry nails, I used black and red gel pens, nude base. This time I changed the colour scheme and used acrylics instead, I wanted to know the difference.

I freehanded the whole thing, so it's imprecise. Like, really imprecise, I guess you should keep some distance to like the way it looks.

Simple Stripes

Hello!
I didn't have enough time and I wanted to combine blue and pink. I ended up with vertical stripes, they make my nails look longer, I think. And it goes well with the blog design, right?
